Logan's Run

This movie came out in 1976. People live in underground domes in 2276, and life is run by computer. To avoid overpopulation, people must die by 30, under the guise of "renewal". Most do it willingly, but some don't.

Logan is one of a number of sandmen who track down runners. As he approaches his time for renewal, he decides to run.

Never seen it, but it's a movie famous enough that I can recognize exactly what movie you're talking about just by the premise alone without actually having seen the film.
