Dylan's New Nightmare: An Elm Street Fan Film
Released on August 31st 2023! The New Nightmare fan-sequel is now out! Let's support them on their official release!
For a Summary...
IMBD wrote:Dylan's New Nightmare acts as an unofficial sequel to Wes Craven's: A New Nightmare, one of the most unique and high concept installments to the Nightmare on Elm Street Franchise. This short film picks up 25 years after the events of New Nightmare and follows Dylan Porter (Miko Hughes), the young son of Heather Langenkamp, now a grown man trying to make his way in the world his parents raised him in-Hollywood. Little does he know that the evil entity known as Freddy Krueger is back, and eager to once again break into our world through the son of his favorite victim.
My Review
Miko Hughes as always killed his roles! His acting from a child actor into an adult has truly shown even in a unofficial nightmare film! Seeing him as Dylan Porter again is outright surreal! Seeing that form of PTSD and taking therapy is a sign of character development that we want to see further in these type of fanfilms! To see the causes and effects of the killers who plague their states, towns, and neighborhoods!
Dave McRae as Freddy Krueger is absolutely done right! Some will try to argue with me on this BUT he is by far the best Unofficial Freddy Krueger that I have ever seen in recent years ever! From his mannerism to the make-up is truly worth the watch! He has the voice, height, and the body movements on-point and that's definitely worth the 30min limit because I am hoping to see a "Dylan's New Nightmare II" in the future and with Dave as Elmstreet slasher Freddy Krueger again!
Body count aside this is what the fans wanna see! The writer behind this film Cecil Laird did an amazing job keeping with consistent continuity!!!
