Shelly's hockey mask and dark magic

When Jason gets the hockey mask he seems stronger and more durable. Now that doesn't necessarily mean much with Jason.

However, it becomes much more difficult to ignore when we consider the connection with Shelly, the mask's orginal owner who was able to survive far longer than anyone else in the series with a similar fatal wound.

Moviechat sounds funny lol but No! Its explained in the official novels (idc what people say but the Friday the 13th Novels are canon.) Its given Jason was ALWAYS a genetic/supernatural being.

He always had a healing factor.

Also, I think Shelley surviving that long May have just been a weird error. Either that or he wasn’t attacked asap. Maybe he dropped the mask and was able to get away for a little while but then, right before we see him stumble into the house, that’s when he gets his throat slashed.

Yeah it was hard to pinpoint exactly when Jason got Shelley. And story wise that mask only lasted y til Tina broke it in half. Jason got a whole new mask in Part 8. But now this makes me think. We know production wise that the mask has been changed with each movie, but story wise it's the same mask until Part 7. We assume it's the same mask Tommy had in in the beginning of Part 6, which suggests he had it all along. Did he keep it the whole time when he killed Jason until he gave it back? In that case he would have had it with him while he was at Pinehurst, probably hidden at the bottom of his bag. Still thinking story wise, could Roy have stolen it and used Jason's own mask? That would have given him the strength and endurance to pull off his killing spree, which gives credibility to jasn88cubs theory that the mask was imbued with dark magic or at least Jasons own power. Now I have to rewatch and think that one over

I think you're right that Jason always had a healing factor. Take into account that he survived the fight with Paul and ginny while wearing the sack, and then was seen crawling off at the start of part 3.
