We see the sheriff drop off Steve Christie within walking distance of the camp before leaving to investigate an accident. Do you think it's possible Pamela Voorhees staged the accident to keep the cops busy while she finished off the staff at Camp Blood?

Did they say there was an accident and they were on site? Or they had a report of one?
If it was a report I could see Pam calling it in and making it up. BUt also...how would Pam know Steve was with a officer?

I just watched the scene. Dispatch says that the rescue squad is on site using the jaws of life and there is a possible fatality.
