It's Friday the 13th...Which Films Are You Watching?
Are there certain ones you just have to watch when a Friday the 13th rolls around?
For me it's typically The Final Chapter, Jason Lives, and Jason X.

Which Friday movies do I watch?
While all of them have something to offer as far as Friday lore is concerned, my personal favorite is of course Part 6. This was where Jason upon being resurrected became the supernatural unstoppable powerhouse able to rip arms from sockets killer you just can't keep in the ground. You can drown him, shoot him, blow him up and he would just keep coming, able to appear almost out of thin air the fact that he moved at barely a slow jog meant only one thing...."Run and you only die tired." While I enjoy them all for the most part, I think why this one sticks out to me most is the fact of how the delayed opening credits sequence was story boarded. When I first saw the movie as a kid I watched it with my father which is to say it was late into the evening and he was tired so I got up to the James Bondish little walk he does and slashes the screen to begin the opening credits before my Dad said it was over aas he turned the TV off bidding me goodnight. While even then I thought that was strange even to seven year old I had no choice but to accept the situation and go to sleep. Fast forward a few years before watching it again and realizing it was no where near over and what he had done both annoyed me and made me laugh I finally watched the movie in it's entirety and it has remained my favorite of all the installments so much so Part 6 became my main Jason when competing professionally, or playing casually. The worst movie of the lot for me is split between the abomination that is Part 9, and the abysmal trash that is Jason vs Freddy, followed closely by the fact his height and appearance seemed to cause him to appear one minute almost ten feet tall and then seemingly shrink and take on the color of beef jerky to almost jet black to looking pink and alive almost in Part 9. The later movies looked to me like they were whoring Jason out almost like a special guest of sorts. He seemed to get stupider the further along he went as if he wasn't aware water couldn't hurt him and seemingly up to Jason vs Freddy never seemed very bothered by water, to being such a debilitating traumatic event for him that he forgot he was this almost unstoppable
being that he was already dead and having no working
circulatory system except maybe plot armor that made rendering him unconscious to dream even possible. talking about you Freddy va Jason movie. Lol

Jason Lives is my all time favorite as well!
FVJ definitely has its issues…. Have a more badass no fear murderous Jason played by Kane Hodder would have definitely helped.
As for JGTH the mythology flipped on its head is one of the things a actually like about this entry and Demon Jason works better for me then Copycat Jason or Jason takes a cruise.
