If you were Hawes, would YOU have been helping Tommy????
Should Tommy have listened when Hawes said, " Can't you just leave that thing alone?"
Would you REALLY dig someone out of a cemetery on a stormy night?

I would absolutely not dig up a body ever…..especially that body lol.
Hawes came from the same institution just like Tommy so it so safe to say he isn’t in the right state of mind either and apparently very susceptible to Peer pressure and Tommy telling him what to do and what they are going to do and going along with it……
His nerves are quite high throughout the opening of the movie but he relies on Tommy to get them through the situation that he agreed to help with.
