Anyone have any of the Friday the 13th movies on VHS?

Just started trying to collect the VHS versions of the movies. I'm pretty sure we had most of them back in the 80's, but for some reason, my parents got rid of them. Lucked up and got Freddy Vs. Jason for under $5 the other day.

I am definitely going to be collecting the VHS versions of these films but right now I do got the DVD format based versions.

The only one I don’t have on DVD is Freddy Vs. Jason. Let someone borrow it and it never returned. Just purchased parts 4, 7 and 8 on VHS for under $30 on eBay tonight though.

I no longer have the VHS films I actually sold them several years ago along with All my Halloween VHS tapes from Anchor Bay.
The limited Edition hard case with the orange tapes and keychain set fetched me quite a pretty paycheck.

I didn’t realize there would be a boom of collectors looking for VHS tapes now…. I sold them when I upgraded to Blu-ray for my collection.

I didn’t realize VHS was going to sky rocket in costs either. I’ve had ample opportunities over the years to get pristine copies of all the F13 movies for 50 cents at thrift stores, but passed them up. It figures though, when I actually want to grab a copy of each of them, they start asking $20 + for each tape. Also, F13 is more expensive right now than any other horror VHS. I can find NOES and Halloween original VHS's for under $5 each.

Sadly, I haven't had the good fortune to ever possess an official copy, but I did have an old Blank VHS tapes I held onto forever where I had P5 & 6 recorded from one of those old late night blocks... USA I believe. Paired with The Monster Squad of all things, lol.

I do miss going to the Video Store and admiring all that old box art... That sign from your photos looks awfully familiar though. Wonder where I've seen it before.

I saw the sign at Spirit Halloween this past year. Got a 25% off any one item coupon and snagged it.

Those VHS take me back. I sold mine years ago, but have the DVD and Blu-Day collections.

Keep checking Mercari as well. That’s where I’ve picked up a few of them from. They have a couple Part 9’s on there right now for less than $15.
