That older woman in the 2009 movie was something wasn't she?

Her dog sure startled Clay.  

When she told Clay, " When people go missing around here, they're gone for good", didn't it make you wonder where they all " went"?  Are people buried in the lake?

Nope. The second she said that, my first thought was Jason was making them disappear. Especially when she tells Clay he just wants to be left alone. That tells me she knows exactly who or what is making these people disappear. For a while I was wondering if they were going for a strange backwoods town kind of vibe, who've come to an understanding with their local monstrous serial killer, but then we see him walk straight on to other people's property to murder them so, so much for that idea. Maybe it's just her...

This because we know that the locals know of and about Pamela and Jason's entire lore so it makes sense for me!

My first thought was that she was related to Jason like Pamela's sister. And for some reason the sheriff didn't seem too concerned about all the disappearances, like he was also aware of Jason

You's think he'd have trouble being re-elected to the office of sheriff if Jason keeps acting up.

I could see her being related to Jason and Pamela somehow.

Yeah people just kind of close their doors and let Jason do his thing like was said. I find that hard to believe though since we have seen Jason go onto other properties to do what he needs to do like I’m Not A Goalie said.
