Could have had Matt became obsessed with Tommy's obsession with Jason and after Vic killed Joey , Matt got frustrated by his work not going well he flips out and becomes "Jason"

It would have made a good plot twist if it had been Matt, as if he was obsessed with Pam and was jealous of the attention she gave the troubled kids, plus all the trouble Edna and Junior gave him. When poor Joey bought the farm, he might have suddenly decided 'good idea' and used Tommy's past as his inspiration
