Ofcourse, I'm honestly shocked some people never even seen the Friday the 13th series OR they never saw the Original.
It's all weird to see in both online forums and in real life.

What I think is weird is when you say " Friday the 13th " movie and people say, " Oh, the Jamie Lee Curtis movie".

Not going to lie it drives me a little crazy when people talk Horror movies and don’t know specifics like this.

I love telling new people who get into horror how good movies like the original Friday The 13th are and seeing their reactions about Pamela being the killer. Reminds me of how I felt when I first saw it.

That's when you take drastic measures to make sure you educate those type of people about the biggest known differences in the history of horror cinema.

When I'm talking to my younger coworkers about movies, I am always shocked when they never heard of certain movies or knew very little about them. I keep telling them that if you have to watch the old school classics as well as the newer ones. For example, we were discussing The Mist and I asked if he'd seen either version of The Fog. His reply was, the what? I shook my head and gave him a list of older movies to check out if you really want to appreciate a good horror film. I reminded him that the best ones will use suspense and atmosphere over special effects everytime.

Honestly didn't like the concept they made when saying it was both Pamela and "Jason's Father" as the killers who sorted for murder.
It didn't seem fitting since we know Pamela was the most iconic slasher at the time and where not many Female killers were a thing.

How weird would it have been if it turned out the truck driver at the beginning was Jason's father? Close to the right age and he knew a lot about what went on there.

Lol definitely weird……. He is definitely not who I picture when I think Jason’s Father.
I never put that much thought into what Jason’s Dad looked like until CJ Graham was cast as him in the Fan film Vengeance….. now that’s the only look I see when ever I think of his character.

In truth I really didn't think about it until recently. I always thought Crazy Ralph was either his father or weird uncle. The comics showed his dad as a beefy brute who abused him, so the truck driver, I forget his name right now, met with the beefy type.

Re: Pamela was the original killer in Friday the 13th
Yeah I always think Crazy Ralph is his uncle too. Just seems to fit with me for some reason.
I think the reason some of the younger fans don’t know that Pamela is the killer could be because the movies aren’t shown as much as they used to be back in the day. Back in the 1980s and 1990s, these movies were everywhere. You couldn’t turn on a tv without them showing up for you, especially at Halloween. Sadly, some execs nowadays act like horror didn’t exist before 2000. Some of the best horror came from the 70s, 80s and 90s but to them, horror started with 2000 and nothing beforehand exists. The only time to really see the Friday The 13th movies, other then the remake which I enjoy, is either in June, when a Friday the 13th around during the year, or when it’s Halloween and they air the movies on a marathon event like FearFest.
Sad thing is that also, if a Friday The 13th falls in November or December, networks won’t give time to the Friday The 13th franchise because they feel only Christmas movies should be airing at that time. Sad but true because I’ve had people who worked at networks back then tell me that too. I don’t mind educating younger horror fans about Friday The 13th, but I feel like networks should air the movies more. Makes me miss the days of USA and TNT and even FX doing whole marathons of them. The execs complain they have nothing to air but they have all these movies to show. Why not throw on a marathon one Sunday afternoon or weekend and let people enjoy it again? Maybe if they did that a whole new generation would discover them and realize Pamela was the killer in the first movie.

Yeah they based it off the Part 6 Storyboard of Jason's Father (Which wasn't named Elias btw)
