The original and part 2 were great, and I have a soft spot for part 3 because it was my first Friday the 13th experience.

I think the first three were great simply because they had a very basic plot and there was no reputation to live up to. Pay 4 was a movie I will never really like because it came out in a dark time in my life and there was an element i didn't really like in the movie, namely the twins, Teddy and having a little kid having to finish off Jason.

Part 5 was a non sequitur to me. It would have been a better stand-alone movie.

Part 6 was fantabulous. It had a great intro and cast, sort of like part 2 which also had a great cast. Part 7 and 8 started to get away from the whole roots of F13, and JGTH was just a hot mess of garbage except for the Agent Marcus chase scene.

Jason X was okay, but like 7 and 8, it was a little too far away from the F13 roots.

Freddy versus Jason was just a boring waste of celluloid and two hours of my like.

The 2009 movie was great in the sense that it tried to go back to the roots of the franchise, at least in a sense.
