I've seen a 1950's movie about Sam Spade and The Maltese Falcon. That's my only real contact with classic film.

The acting can be a struggle. Like look at Nosferatu (1927?), the way the main guy wakes up pisses me off so much.

I did like WHTBJ and Sunset Boulevard.
